Getting Started

The purpose of this document is to provide on-boarding for internal MLA departments and third-party software vendors into the MLA Single Sign On (SSO) ecosystem.

What is myMLA

myMLA is a ‘one-stop shop’ for customers of the red meat industry to access a range of products and services offered by MLA. From the myMLA dashboard, users can access personalised industry information and MLA tools.

Once logged in, the dashboard also allows users to access MLA services such as Livestock Production Assurance (LPA), Meat Standards Australia (MSA) and the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS). For the latter to occur, users must first link their individual service accounts to their SSO account.

What is MLA Single Sign On (SSO)

The ability in myMLA to allow one customer’s login to enable access to individual applications without requiring future password prompts is facilitated by MLA SSO. MLA SSO is a session and user authentication service that permits a user to use one set of login credentials to access multiple applications.

What are the benefits of using MLA SSO?

MLA SSO provides a range of benefits to stakeholders across the red meat industry:

For producers:
  • Only one set of login details required to access all relevant red meat industry services
  • Switch between products easily
For MLA programs (e.g. NLIS, LPA, MSA, LDL)
  • Reduced helpdesk calls requiring assistance with login details
For 3rd party vendors:
  • Easier integration with MLA programs
For the red meat industry:
  • Improved connections between red meat industry programs
  • Improved marketing of red meat industry programs

Linking API, supports users to identify the linking accounts. Third party developers need to opt-in.

How to sign up to MLA SSO?

The form to be completed for users to begin the process for onboarding to MLA SSO can be found here. Once this is completed it can be emailed to MLA helpdesk: helpdesk@mla.com.au

MLA Account Registry

To enable myMLA to easily identify which products an MLA SSO user relates to, the MLA account registry is required to be used.
